INTRODUCTION
St Peter’s church is the oldest building in South Yorkshire and one of the ten oldest churches in England. As such it is a fascinating ancient building, and it is sobering to realize that people have been worshiping God in this church for more than a thousand years. It is, however, not just a historic building it is also a living church.
This web site is designed to give you an idea of all the things that are happening at St Peter’s Church both in the church itself and also in the Hall and Alpha Room. It is our hope that you can make use of the all that we have to offer and that the church can truly be an important part of the community.
At St Peter’s we seek to provide a place where adults and children are welcomed and accepted, where people can be themselves, ask questions and find out more about God and his love for them. We believe that everyone is important to God and that in Him we are able to find greater security, peace and meaning.
Have a browse – see what is available at St Peter’s and if you have any questions give me a ring or call in at one of our Sunday services.
You and your family will be very welcome.
