Confirmation is where adults or older children who have been baptised renew for themselves the promises made for them at their baptism by their parents and godparents, making a public declaration of their faith. Those who have not been baptised can also be baptised at the same time.
Every year there are those who want to take time out to think about what the Christian faith means to them. A curiosity about God or about the person of Jesus can gradually grow into a conviction that there is a need to make some sort of personal commitment and to become a part of the worshipping community of the Church.
Please talk to the Vicar if you would like to know more about the confirmation service.
